Tow bar cover: protection with personality

Tow bar cover: protection with personality

The tow bar is simply always there: it gets wet, dirty and splashed with road salt in winter. And anyone who uses it regularly knows that the grease on the ball quickly ends up on trousers or shopping bags. A cover solves several problems at once.

Why a cover?

  • Protection from dirt and moisture – the tow ball stays clean.
  • Less rust – especially in winter when road salt is involved.
  • No grease stains – on clothes, bags or when loading the boot.
  • An eye-catcher – a funny cap makes people smile in the car park.

Our designs

Instead of a plain rubber cap we go for character: the gas mask with helmet peers cheekily backwards, comes in six colours and fits standard 50 mm tow balls. The skull with headphones is for fans of a rougher style. Both designs are 3D printed.

What to keep in mind

  • Tight fit: the cover should sit firmly so it doesn’t get lost while driving.
  • Remove before coupling: take the cap off before attaching a trailer or bike rack.
  • Check now and then: remove the cap and inspect the tow ball for rust and wear.
? Good to know: a cover does not replace maintenance of the tow bar. Check the tow ball regularly and follow the tow bar manufacturer’s instructions.

To go with it

If you often travel with a trailer, you will also find a 13-pin adapter with a 90° angle for the trailer socket in our shop.
